I am going to be the first to admit that I am not the best housecleaner. (I can picture John nodding as he reads this…) Our work/writing schedule is crazy, spanning 10 hours a day, seven days a week. Add to that over an hour a day spent dog walking and, honestly, there’s not a lot of time left for cleaning the house.
That’s not to say that the house doesn’t NEED cleaning. Between two dogs, four cats, and years of drought that left much of the lawn dead, we battle pet fur and dirt a lot in our house. With our busy schedule, we really have to make the most of every opportunity we have to clean and maximize that time. One thing we DON’T want to clean are the cleaning implements themselves.
Because of that, we were interested in reviewing the new Eureka® Brushroll Clean™, available exclusively at Walmart (value $198). Here’s what I’m especially eager to try out: the self-cleaning brushroll. Tiki’s long hair (and mine) has a way of winding around the brushroll so tightly that I’ve had to get scissors and cut it loose in the past. And it never fails that I wind up picking up strings that lasso that brushroll — I know you’ve probably had exactly the same problem. Well, this vacuum claims that the touch of a button will release that tangled fur, hair, dirt, and debris.
So I’m going to put the Eureka Brushroll Clean bagless upright vacuum to the test!
Over the next two weeks, I’m going to be doing a series of reviews on this vacuum, trying it out on both our hardwood floors downstairs and the carpet of my office.
