A little guy with a lot of love to give, Leo is a six-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who lives for rolling in the grass and cuddling with a human companion. A pedigreed pup with AKC papers, Leo had pet parents to call his own until his vet bills caused his family too much financial distress.
Due to dental damage Leo recently had several teeth removed, which causes the tiny tail-wagger’s tongue to consistently stick out. Leo doesn’t seem to mind his new look, though, and can’t wait to pose for a #TongueOutTuesday photo for his new family to post on social media! This Rover is also camera-ready thanks to a recent grooming session.
Leo likes kids (although children under the age of 10 may cause stress) and other canines. Cats, however, are a whole other story. However, since he enjoys lapping up a person’s undivided attention and feels pangs of jealousy when the spotlight shines on another dog, Leo would be best as the only dog in the household.
Already neutered, dewormed and up-to-date on his vaccinations, Leo is just one of the canines and cats in the care of Buffalo Paws & Claws Animal Shelter. A non-profit, foster-based rescue and shelter in East Aurora, New York, Buffalo Paws & Claws has helped pets in need since its start in 2009.
