#PawPromise Adoptable Dog of the Week: Davey Duke

Potential pet parents who are searching for a regal Rover need look no further than Davey Duke. A one-year-old Terrier mix who is a real prince of hearts, this sweet Spot seems to find a friend in every person or pet he meets. Although his past remains a mystery, he has a bright future ahead with a loving family thanks to his decorous demeanor around people, which suggests that he had a human guardian at one time.

Forty pounds of pure joy, Davey Duke is as clever as he is kind natured and has been both crate and house trained. Already neutered and current on his vaccinations, he is presently in foster care, waiting for a forever home.

Davey Duke is just one of the many canines and cats who are getting a new lease on life thanks to The Pixel Fund. An all-volunteer team of fosters and rescuers who save the lives of companion animals who are facing their fate in high kill shelters, the non-profit is a division of Pixel’s Posse, which is located in Maine with outreach in both Florida and Georgia. (Davey Duke is staying with a foster in Georgia, but can travel to unite with forever adopters.)

PawZaar’s #PawPromise Program

Every week, we highlight an adoptable dog (and an adoptable cat over on CatTipper.com), choosing from among rescues and shelters nominated by our readers. If you’d like to nominate your favorite shelter or rescue, please visit our nomination form. Ten percent of the proceeds from our sales every week are donated to the week’s spotlighted rescue.
