Fido’s Freebie Friday Tries to Stay Cool!

Whew, this week has been hot, hot, hot! Although I usually walk the dogs for 45 minutes in the morning and at least 30 minutes in the evening, this week we have been taking an early morning walk…and that’s it. Unlike in the desert, temperatures don’t cool in the evenings here so we have been sticking pretty close to the AC this week!

If it’s hot where you live, please be sure your pets are indoors and well hydrated. Wildlife, strays and ferals all need our help this time of year; even something as simple a bowl of water can be a lifesaver. We still have water in our creek but, when that dries up, we have some kiddie pools in the woods to help the animals make it through this heat.
