This week has been busy, busy while we’ve been shopping for a car. As I told you about recently, we needed to trade in our 16-year-old Jeep but we had some real restrictions in our search for a replacement:
- It had to fit our budget.
- It had to have plenty of ground clearance to cross our creek without a problem.
- Most importantly, it had to be comfortable for Irie and Tiki, both in terms of getting into the car and riding.
For the past week, we’ve been busy measuring the height of cars and test driving different models. Many dealerships allowed us to bring the cars home both to test the ground clearance and to give Irie and Tiki a chance to give us their input!
We finally made our decision: a 2012 Ford Escape! We signed the papers and traded in our Jeep on Monday then took Irie and Tiki on a mini day trip to confirm what we gleaned from the test drive: four paws up!
