Fido’s Freebie Friday Prepares for Love Your Rescue Pet Day!

We’re preparing for Love Your Rescue Pet Day, a Saturday celebration hosted by Austin Pets Alive! We’re so excited that our PawZaar gift store will be a partner in this day in which many area businesses donate 10 percent of their sales to assist the rescue that’s help make Austin a no-kill city.

We feel so strongly about the great rescue animals in shelters awaiting their forever homes. The photo that you see above is our Irie. We saw this photo on Petfinder over seven years ago and drove to the small town of Bulverde to meet her. She came home with us that day and changed both our lives and our careers.

This past year we adopted Lucky from Austin Pets Alive. He has been such a joy to our family, and it seems like the little 18-month-old guy has been part of our household forever.

The next couple of days, we’ll be busy preparing things on our PawZaar site (which includes our new–and exclusive–CHOOSE RESCUE bracelet and our Black Cat Bracelet). We’re excited about donating and helping this rescue which has given so much to our family.

Then on Saturday night, we’ll be drawing a rescue from YOUR recommendations for next week’s featured rescue. If you haven’t left your recommendation already, be sure to visit our nomination form and leave the name of your favorite rescue!
